               AS ROMA OFFERED CHANCE TO SIGN TIEMOUE BAKAYOKO BY AC MILAN

According to Il Tempo (Giallorossi.net), Jose Mourinho’s Roma have been offered the chance to sign Chelsea ace Tiemoue Bakayoko, who is currently on loan at AC Milan. But the Frenchman isn’t on top of Roma’s list with the Serie A side considering other options as well. The Giallorossi have already signed midfielder Nemanja Matic on a free transfer from Manchester United, who is set to be a starter under Mourinho, given that the Portuguese is a long-term admirer of the Serbian. However, they want to add another player in that position and are currently in the transfer market for the same.

As per the aforementioned report, Paris Saint-Germain outcast Georginio Wijnaldum is on their list and the club are exploring the possibility of getting him on board. Alessio Romagnoli focused on winning the remaining Serie A matches

AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli has said that the Rossoneri should remain focused on winning the remaining two games of the season in order to enhance their prospects of making the top four. The Rossoneri are currently three points behind fourth-placed Atalanta but the latter have a game against Juventus to contend before the end of the campaign.

Speaking to DAZN, Romagnoli indicated that the Rossoneri could yet secure Champions League football for next season and they need to win their remaining two games whilst hoping that the other results go in their favour, he said: “We have to focus on winning every game, then we’ll see what happens. It was a great performance tonight, especially in the first half, while we defended well in the second. We have to win both remaining matches and hope some other results go our way.”

Lucas Biglia’s agent talks up new contract for midfielder at AC Milan

The agent of Lucas Biglia has indicated that the Argentine is keen on extending his contract with AC Milan beyond the 2019/2020 season. The midfielder has endured an injury-plagued campaign with the Rossoneri this term, but he has recently returned to the mix with the occasional start under Gennaro Gattuso.

In a report covered by Calciomercato, the representative of Biglia revealed that he would be arriving to Milan on Wednesday to discuss the future of his client. He added that the player does hold hometown club Boca Juniors in high regard but a return to Argentina does not regard on the agenda in the near future, he quipped: “I will arrive in Italy on Wednesday to talk to Milan. Boca Juniors is a very important club that has my and Lucas’s respect but it’s not the time to go back to Argentina.”

AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie has praised the performances of Tiemoue Bakayoko following the club’s 3-0 triumph over Empoli in the Serie A. The Frenchman had a quiet beginning with the Rossoneri following the loan move from Chelsea last summer but he has transformed his fortunes over the past few months to become an integral part of the starting lineup.

Speaking after the recent win over Empoli, Kessie said that the Rossoneri need to continue keeping their focus on the matches in hand as they seek to return to the Champions League via a top-four finish this term. He added to reserve special praise for Bakayoko, who has been orchestrating the proceedings in the midfield under Gennaro Gattuso.

Tiemoue Bakayoko keen to take AC Milan chance

France international Tiemoue Bakayoko is keen to take the opportunity with AC Milan after making the loan move from Chelsea. The midfielder had a rather difficult debut season with the Blues last term where he struggled to adjust to the rigours of the Premier League but he has now been offered the opportunity to test himself in a new division.

Speaking in a news conference, Bakayoko said: “Italian football is obviously different from English football, but I worked with Conte, an Italian coach, who gave me a taste for what’s to come. That’ll help me settle in Italian football and working with another Italian coach, and I want to thank Milan for bringing me to the club. I think they [Gattuso and Conte] are both similar coaches actually, there is a lot of passion and commitment to what they do. They both bring a lot of grit and determination. I haven’t yet spoken to the coach about my role on the pitch.”
