HOW WILL GIROUD PERFORM AT MILAN NEXT SEASON?

With reports gathering pace that Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud will be joining Italian Serie A giants AC Milan next season, there have been questions raised about how much of an impact he will be making at the Italian club next season. The France international attacker has grown fed up at Stamford Bridge following his lack of game time under manager Thomas Tuchel and has long decided that he wants to try out a new challenge elsewhere. He was largely restricted to minimal game time last season and hardly played in the Premier League, with Tuchel preferring Timo Werner over him and Tammy Abraham.

Giroud is an excellent striker and has always performed well whenever he got his chance. He is expected to be more involved in games at Milan next season than he did at Chelsea and there is a huge belief that he will score a couple of goals at the San Siro too.

The former Arsenal attacker has made it clear to the Chelsea manager that he would love to play more games and that he is willing to find another club if the German manager cannot promise him that.

At the end of the last two seasons, former Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte signaled his desire to sign the ex-Arsenal player and take him to Italy. However, Chelsea remained adamant that they were not going to sell him until they find a perfect replacement. Although staying put at Chelsea was not entirely what he wanted, Giroud finished the 2020-21 campaign with the Blues.
