AC MILAN SIGN VILA

AC Milan have signed Espanyol defender Didac Vila after it was confirmed by the Spanish club. A statement on their official website reads: “The defender Didac Vila has become AC Milan’s new player following an agreement reached between RCD Espanyol and the Italian club in the last hours. The 21-year-old left back/winger will sign his new contract in the next few hours and he will be presented in Milan.

“Espanyol and Milan finished the deal last night in Cornella after a three-hour meeting between executives of the two clubs. Didac Vila made his debut last year with Espanyol’s first team and this season he has been one of the defenders that has played more frequently. Born in Mataro, he started playing for Espanyol more than 10 years ago.

ZLATAN SATISFIED WITH POINT

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has said that he is very happy to secure a late equaliser for AC Milan. “I don’t know if this is a point earned or two dropped,” he declared to SkySport.

“We conceded four goals at home and this is never a good thing.

“Nevertheless with 13 minutes left to play they were winning 3-1 and therefore we have to be satisfied with a point.

“We are still top of the standings and managed to stretch our lead to six points this afternoon.

AC Milan hope to build on their squad, with Vincent Kompany and Kolo Toure linked in recent weeks.
