FABIANO KEEN ON AC MILAN

AC Milan could be wrapping up a deal for Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano within the next few days after it was reported that the club’s vice-president Adriano Galliani was in the country speaking with the La Liga club’s officials.

Galliani will be trying to sign some of the Serie A club’s summer transfer targets while in Madrid for the Masters charity event between Real Madrid and AC Milan. The Brazilian striker is said to be at the head of the club’s list of priority signings and the official hopes to conclude a deal before returning to Italy.

Other players reported to be on Milan’s radar include Royston Drenthe, Fernando Gago and Rafael van der Vaart from Real Madrid. However, Milan face stiff competition from Premier League club Manchester City who are keen on the latter two and have more money to throw at the La Liga club.

Milan have been monitoring Fabiano for some time and after failing to sign the Brazilian last summer when negotiations broke down, the Serie A giants are back for a second bite this time. Galliani is looking to bring down Sevilla’s asking price of €20 million and with the player already in his 30s’, Milan could eventually get the player for much less.
