ZLATAN IS STAYING

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has said that the rumours of him looking for a transfer from AC Milan at the end of the season are untrue.

It is thought that Real Madrid are interested in signing the striker from AC Milan in the summer in order to bolster their striking options. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been a great presence in every club he has been in the last few years.

Even more interesting is the fact that he has been able to win the domestic league title for nine consecutive occasions with each and every club he has been at over the years. This includes the likes of Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Barcelona.

It is highly unlikely that this feat will be repeated once again this season, but there is every chance that AC Milan can win the title this season after they trail leaders Juventus by just one point in the Italian Serie A.

Now, the striker has dismissed the rumours linking him with Real Madrid by saying that he is extremely happy at AC Milan. He is also hoping to end the season well with AC Milan and also do well at the Euro 2012 having qualified for the European Championships with Sweden, where the latest euro 2012 odds make Sweden slim favourites to make it through to the knockout stages and beyond.

“As I said six months ago, I am happy here. I have a contract and I don’t have any other thoughts. I am determined to end this season well with the Milan colours and then with my national team [at Euro 2012]. Milan has given me back a smile and the will to play. Milan is my future. I play well because I am happy here, on and off the pitch. After the holidays I will return to begin pre-season training with this jersey,” Ibrahimovic told the AC Milan channel.
