AC Milan are ready to table a significant bid for Chelsea hit man Didier Drogba according to reports in Italy. Carlo Ancelotti former club Milan have wanted Drogba for some time and now the former Napoli sporting director Pierpaolo Marino has claimed that AC Milan will be making a bid for sure, this is the last news that Chelsea would have wanted to hear with rumours circulating that Nicolas Anelka also is thinking of leaving Stamford Bridge.

The Chelsea boss Ancelotti has already been informed that Chelsea will not be splashing out this summer and as well as Anelka and Drogba they could also end up losing Joe Cole for free this summer, if Chelsea are not careful they could end up losing three very influential players with no sign of any fresh blood coming in to Stamford Bridge.

Drogba may well be tempted to join AC Milan, he is coming in to the final years of his career and has no made no secret of his desire to one day play in Italy or Spain, if he does end up being sold to AC Milan then Ancelotti will have very little choice but to use whatever funds are raised to try and lure another marque centre forward to the Bridge.
