FLORENZI RULED OUT FOR A MONTH

Italian international Alessandro Florenzi has been ruled out for a month after he underwent a knee operation earlier on Saturday. The period of recuperation from the surgery was revealed on the AC Milan website. The knee surgery was performed by Pier Paolo Marianiat the Villa Stuart Clinic in the Italian capital of Rome with AC Milan doctor Lucio Genesio in attendance.


The arthroscopic operation was done to correct a little tear to the media meniscus in the left knee of the AC Milan utility player who has played seven of the eight games at the club this season. The Italian has started twice plus five substitute appearances for Milan following his move from AS Roma this summer. MILAN TO ACCELERATE FLORENZI CHASE

AC Milan are prepared to accelerate negotiations for AS Roma utility player Alessandro Florenzi in the coming days according to Italian publication Calciomercato. It was revealed that AC Milan will intensify efforts to sign Italian national team player Florenzi on the back of the return of Roma director Tiago Pinto.

Pinto is back in Italy after his trip to London last week to seal the €40m deal for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham. Abraham was initially reluctant to leave Premier League football for Italy but he has since changed his mind thanks in part to the abovementioned Pinto.
