AC Milan manager Gennaro Gattuso has admitted that there is plenty of work to be done at the Italian club before starting to make progress in the league table. It has been a year campaign for AC Milan as they have gone through spells of struggle and elation in equal measure. The club are currently in the top four and Milan are looking to finish in this position for the first time since the 2012-13 campaign. The club has been out of the Champions League in all these years and it has been a major problem when it comes to attracting the top players to the San Siro – despite having all the prestige in the world.
“We need to focus on securing a Champions League place, our final position in the league table does not matter to me. We should keep our heads down and keep working. The way I see it, even the best player in the world should respect his team-mates.Respect for players and for those who represent them is essential – the locker room is sacred. I appreciate it when my players speak their minds to me in person,” said Gattuso.
