Flamini dreams of AC

Midfielder Mathieu Flamini has insisted that Milan are clinging on to the hope they can pip Roma and Inter to the Serie A title despite spurning yet another opportunity last weekend to close the gap on the leaders.

A 2-2 draw with Catania at the San Siro left the Rossoneri four points off the pace with just five games remaining this season.

But Flamini told La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper: “We have wasted one too many chances, but you never know. I believe in it.

“We won’t give up until the end because the mood is good and the group is fantastic.”

Flamini has recently declared that he has no plans to leave Milan in the summer despite enduring another difficult season.

“It was a dream for me to come here,” he said.

“I had other options when I left Arsenal and I would have some now too. But my objective is to stay here and win some silverware. Perhaps the Scudetto right away…
