BALOTELLI IMPRESSES

AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri has praised the January signing, Mario Balotelli, by comparing him with some of the best strikers in the world like Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Milan managed to secure the signing of the 22-year-old Italian, who is known for causing a lot of trouble. He is thought to have signed for AC Milan after a transfer fee of around £ 20 million was agreed between the two clubs. The striker has already managed to score seven goals since arriving in January. His form has been one of the main reasons behind AC Milan’s push for the top two positions in the table.

Milan were criticised a lot during the early part of the campaign due to the relegation in the form, but they have since made a huge improvement since the arrival of Balotelli in such a way that they are currently third in the table. Milan once again managed to sustain their position in the top three of the Italian Serie A table following a 2-0 win over Palermo during the weekend. Once again, they managed to get the win courtesy of Balotelli’s brilliance. He opened the scoring with a penalty after just 8 min, while his second goal sealed the three points for Milan.

“He’s similar to Ibrahimovic both physically and technically, but he can get better because he’s playing with continuity here. Balotelli still has to improve a lot as a center forward given his potential, but he has all the right ingredients to do it. The squad is young and I’m happy with the work that the club has done. If we get into the Champions League, without having to pre-qualify, it’ll have been a good year,” said Allegri. Milan will be facing a crucial run of fixtures over the next few weeks, as they will meet against the likes of Fiorentina.
