AMELIA BACKS BOSS

The AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Amelia has said that he is confident in the manager Massimiliano Allegri. He has said that the current manager is the right man for the job to lead the club to at least a top three finish in the league this season.

After losing a number of crucial players like Gattuso and Zlatan Ibrahimovic over the summer, it is not a surprise to see AC Milan struggling in the league. Despite all their struggles this season, the recent form of the club has been good. They have been able to progress to the last 16 stage of the Champions League, while also beating Juventus in a recent league encounter.

However, two back-to-back wins in the form of the 3-1 win over Anderlecht and the 1-0 win over Juventus have meant that things are suddenly looking up for AC Milan. There has been a lot of talk surrounding the future of Massimiliano Allegri, but the goalkeeper Amelia reckons that he is capable of helping the team achieve the objectives this season. The 30-year-old goalkeeper has already played four matches this season. Following the win over Juventus, the club has risen up to the ninth position in the table, but they still remain 10 points behind the Champions League positions.

“I think our coach knows exactly what he wants. He knows exactly what he needs to do. I understand that he thinks that the right formation for us and our future is a 4-3-3. In previous matches he changed a few things to test out our new players, but now we are going ahead with this formation towards our true identity,” said the goalkeeper.
Massimiliano Allegri’s position has been under threat for quite a while now, with rumours linking the club with a move for the former Barcelona manager Guardiola.
